Getting your home ready to sell is of utmost importance. Having a presentable property can be challenging if you have let things go for a while.

In the next few paragraphs I’d like to outline some ideas on how to make your home safe and ready to show. 

The number one item on your list of things to do should be to get the exterior cleaned up. Cleaning up the yard and cleaning the exterior is important to your overall success.

Depending on your home exterior, pressure washing would be highly recommended, or performing whatever maintenance is required to make the outside look up to snuff. This can make a drastic difference in how your home is perceived by prospective buyers.

Let your thought process guide you in knowing that nothing is to small to go unnoticed so be as detailed as possible.

Over time we as homeowners tend to let little things go, a squeaky door or a running toilet are easily overlooked during our day to day routines, but a prospective buyers will notice imperfect items quicker that a sled on an ice mountain. 

One closing thought avoid making major improvements now that you’re wanting to sell. Now is not the time to start a major remodeling project. If you’re in the middle of a project then by all means finish it but the majority of your focus should now be on developing your systematic marketing plan.
